Seed LibrariesSeed acquisition, locating heirloom seed, protocols in acquiring seed agreements for future use of seed, samples of seed saving stories. Growing for seed; methods to insure seed purity, seed vitality, (fertility), hand pollinating, pollination methods (wind-self-insect) isolation and limiting cross-pollination. Seed cleaning: wet and dry methods cleaning by hand and with machines, cleaning all sizes of seed (from extra small to large) record keeping, seed storage, and germination testing. Seed redistribution; maintaining a seed library, giving seed, selling seed, respect and honoring seed. These workshops will be hands on and cover both high tech and low tech methods, including some traditional seed saving techniques.
